Solar • Flora • Leaf

Through Solar, Flora, and Leaf, the project explores a change in the connection between the human and its surroundings. The sun stays unchanged. It provides vitality, yet it also imposes stress. What sustains can, with time, start to feel heavy.

Solar

In this first composition, the figure is not enclosed, yet remains subtly restricted through posture and spatial tension. The body follows a fluid logic, shaped as if by currents rather than fixed boundaries. Although the name Solar reinforces heat and warmth, the palette introduces water as an underlying counter force.

The sun's presence is establishing a developing imbalance, something understated yet enduring.

The difference is becoming harder to ignore. Growth is evident, but it appears limited, almost held back. The physique appears squared. It exists within a system that applies pressure to it. What has been taken away from the environment begins to reemerge as a constraint. In Flora, nature is not portrayed as a distant view but rather as an immediate presence, something that envelops, compresses, and demands closeness. The bond between humans and plants increasingly revolves around mutual limitations within the same environment of stress.

The body is no longer opposed to the environment, but integrated within it. Green stretches out until it encompasses all. This may be perceived as harmony, signifying a reduction in distance. The boundary between humanity and nature no longer exists in the same manner.

The series exposes a nuanced duality in human existence.

The same drive that compels us to grow can also result in overindulgence.

The identical longing to influence our surroundings also puts us in a situation where we are influenced by it in return.

These are not opposing forces that negate one another, but interconnected movements that evolve gradually. At the core of this is the individual, and the reality that numerous results remain within our control.

The choices we make about what to take, our methods of intervention, and the extent to which we alter natural systems all influence the environment we subsequently inhabit. The equilibrium is not established beyond ourselves. It is perpetually created by our choices, actions, and boundaries

It leaves a concluding question unanswered. When the boundary vanishes, is it a kind of equilibrium, or a consequence of exceeding limits
